Imperial Expands into Settlement Market

Imperial one of the largest Premium Financing and Premium Finance Companies is expanding by obtaining a life settlement license in the state of Florida.

Here is the press release:
Furthering its expansion, Imperial Life Settlements, LLC, announces it has obtained a Viatical Settlement Provider License in its home state of Florida. With the addition of Florida, the organization is now successfully licensed to provide life settlement services in the following 21 states: Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

“Imperial is one of only a handful of companies that is licensed to do business in almost every state in the country,” stated Imperial president and COO Jonathan Neuman. “Combined with our company’s vast experience in the life settlement industry, the Florida license paves the way for Imperial to continue its role as a market leader and innovator in this asset class.”

The secondary market for life insurance, also referred to as life settlements, has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years. It provides qualified life insurance holders the option to sell their unneeded or unwanted life insurance polices for more than the surrender value.
